My Review:
I have seen these blushes from Hard Candy for a while now and I finally jumped on the wagon and decided to pick up two of them. I have been testing them out for about 2 months now so I can give a fair review.
I picked up Spicy & Sweet and Skinny Dipping.

Packaging:
The packaging for these blushes are really cute. They come in a box that have a magnetic lid and closes shut. I do have to deduct some points for this because it clearly wasn't an original idea since Benefit has similar blushes and bronzers in boxes as well, but it is still really cute

How I Apply This Blush:
The first time I applied these blushes I used the Mac blush brush and I  literally looked like a clown, it was really intense. The second time I looked like a clown again and that's when I used the Mac 168 brush. I finally found the perfect brush to apply this product with. I use a fan brush I bought from coastal scents years ago. Since the fan brush is not very dense it applies the perfect amount of blush without looking like a freak show.

  Spicy & Sweet
This blush has 4 different shades. A light pink, bright pink, peach and a light brown. I like all the shades except the brown shade because the brown color I feel has a lot of shimmer and I personally don't like having too much shimmer on my face. I swirl the colors together and it gives me a nice healthy rosey glow.

                                                 All the colors blended together

Skinny Dipping

I have a weakness for orange blushes so when I seen this I knew I had to pick it up. Skinny Dipping comes with two different colors. The first one is a light tan and the other color is a super bright orange. When I first seen the tan color I thought it was a contour shade but it's not once you swatch it. It has a sheen to it and I usually use matte colors to contour. The bright orange is really nice. Once I apply it on my cheeks it looks more coral then orange which is fin with me.

When you mix both the shades together you get a nice coral pink color which looks really nice.

Staying Power:
The staying power for both the blushes are okay. If I don't apply a base under the blushes they last for about 4-5 hours, but with a base they last pretty much all day for me.

The brush is a cute touch but it's definitely not for me. It's very scratchy, thin and doesn't pick up enough color. If your used to using higher end brushes then you will definitely not like this brush.

Overall:
I actually ended up really liking these blushes. First off the price is amazing, and you can't beat it. There are many different variety of colors to choose from. My biggest pet peeve with this product is it's super powdery. I just tap my brush in the blushes and I get a ton of powder in the box which is annoying besides that I really love these blushes.

Pros:
  • Decently pigmented for a drugstore blush
  • Affordable
  • Good staying power, especially if applied over a cream blush
  • Very cute packaging even though it's not an original idea
  • Wide range of colors
  • A little goes a long way
Cons:
  • Very powdery
  • Trends to be a little chalky
  • A lot of fallout
  • The brush that is included is useless
Final Verdict:
4.5/5
